Collecting Your Information
As part of the daily carrying-out of our business, we collect basic personal information (e.g. name, address, email address, contact telephone number) and credit-card or debit-card details (when making purchases).
We will also need personal information in order to supply our products and services to you, and sometimes to help us identify you when you contact us. When we collect this information we will take reasonable measures to ensure that it is transmitted to us securely. We will only collect payment information over a secure connection.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties. We discard all credit-card and debit-card details once the payment(s) have been received and finalised.
If you communicate with us by email over the Internet you should be aware that the nature of the Internet is such that unencrypted communication may not be secure and may pass through several different countries on route to us.
Please do not email us with confidential or sensitive information such as your credit card details. We cannot accept responsibility for unauthorised access to your information that is outside our control.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively for internal processes. The Law Jurist may use your information to verify client information and to send order confirmations. The Law Jurist uses financial information to verify your name, address and other information, as well as to take payment for the use of our services.
If you send us correspondence such as emails or letters, we may gather such information and put it in a folder that is specific to you. By using the site and placing your order with us, you are consenting to the collection and use of your personal information by us.
You should note that we may use the information we have collected about you to contact you and deliver information to you about our services generally. If you do not want us to contact you, you may choose to 'unsubscribe' from these communications.
You may be asked on the telephone to give your credit or debit card details for the purpose of paying for a service you have requested from us. You will always have the option to enter these through our website instead, which uses the Paypal gateway that allows you to securely pay through your Paypal account or by securely providing your credit or debit card details
We never store customers' sensitive data - for example, credit or debit card details, as noted above.
Users Aged 16 Years and Under
If you are 16 or under you must have permission from a parent or guardian before you give us personal information. If we find that we have received information from you without the appropriate consent, we reserve the right to cancel all transactions and services and remove all personal data that you have supplied. You will be able to re-submit the information when you have the required permission.
We use data collection devices such as 'cookies' on certain pages of our site. These are small files placed on your hard drive which help us to provide customised services to you. Certain features of the site are only available where cookies are used.
Most cookies are 'session cookies' and they are automatically deleted from your hard drive when you leave the site. You may be able to set your browser up to refuse our cookies, but this may mean you cannot use some features of the site.
